Familia Deicas, Atlantico Sur Tannat 2020

Familia Deicas winery was born in 2000 as a project for making quality terroir-driven wines with a minimal intervention philosophy. Under the eye of third-generation vigneron, Santiago Deicas, as winemaker; the portfolio is increasingly lo-fi in its approach preferring the use of clay amphorae and neutral oak barrels, with a preference for sustainable farming practices. Atlantico Sur Tannat 2020 is an awesome wine taken from vineyards hugging Uruguay's Atlantic coast. Intense and concentrated both in colour and aroma, it has an expressive nose of redcurrant, raspberry, blackberry and rose. The palate is full but smooth, with an elegant acidity carrying the long and fruity finish.
